Doctor Who: The Dalek Project

A stunning new graphic novel, featuring the Doctor as played by Matt Smith in an exciting adventure with the Daleks.

1917. It’s the height of the Great War and Hellcombe Hall is a house full of mystery: locked doors, forbidden rooms, dustsheets covering guilty secrets, and ghostly noises frightening the servants. Most mysterious of all, the drawing room seems to open directly onto a muddy, corpse-filled trench on the Western Front…

Arriving at this stately home, the Doctor meets Lord Hellcombe, an armaments manufacturer who has a new secret weapon he believes will win the war: he calls it ‘the Dalek’. Soon, the Doctor and his new friends are in a race against time to prevent the entire Western Front from becoming part of the Dalek Project!

About the Authors

Justin Richards

A celebrated writer and Creative Consultant to the BBC Books range of Doctor Who books, Justin Richards lives and works in Warwick with his wife and two children. When he’s not writing, he can be found indulging his passion for inventing, reading and watching far too much television.

Mike Collins

Mike Collins is best known as the penciller on the Panini Doctor Who Magazine. He is the storyboard artist for Doctor Who, has illustrated two Doctor Who graphic novels, and has drawn for the US IDW Doctor Who series.

Mike has been creating comics for over 25 years and has worked for Marvel, DC, 2000AD and a whole host of other publishers. He currently draws a series of noir crime fiction graphic novels – Varg Veum - in Norse and provides storyboards for TV and films, including Doctor Who, Warhammer 40K, Igam Ogam, Claude, Hana’s Helpline and Horrid Henry.

He lives in Cardiff, Wales and his studio is a short walk away from The Rift. He has a wife, three daughters, a neurotic cat and is an enthusiastic yet staggeringly inept dancer.
