High Wire and Fire With Fire are both in development for series adaptations.
Fans of Candice Fox's gripping novels have reason to celebrate as two of her most acclaimed works, High Wire and Fire With Fire are set for thrilling screen adaptations.
Here’s everything you need to know:
High Wire

Based on Candice Fox's international bestseller, High Wire is a high-octane journey through the Australian outback. The story follows the harrowing journey of Harvey Buck, a former soldier racing against time to reach his dying girlfriend. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Clare Holland, a stranded traveller. Offering her a ride, Harvey unwittingly drags them both into a nightmare, ambushed by a vengeful crew and forced into a series of deadly missions.
Currently in the early stages of development, the series boasts an impressive production team led by Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions, with Simonne Overend as the executive producer. Scott Free has an illustrious track record, recently producing hits like Gladiator II, Alien: Romulus, and the Apple TV+ series Prime Target.
Simonne Overend is also no stranger to Candice Fox’s fast-paced, compelling plotlines having produced the major ABC TV series Troppo based on Fox’s novels, Crimson Lake and Redemption Point.
With such a powerhouse team, High Wire promises to be a must-watch action thriller that is not to be missed.
Fire With Fire

NBC is set to develop Candice Fox’s heart-pounding thriller, Fire With Fire. The drama will star Jon Huertas (This Is Us and Generation Kill), who will also serve as executive producer alongside Alexi Hawley, creator of The Rookie and The Recruit. The series comes from Lionsgate Television and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Fire With Fire follows the electrifying story of Ryan and Elsie Delaney, a married couple who refuse to accept the official explanation that their young daughter, Tilly, drowned on Santa Monica beach. With her body never found and their pleas for a thorough investigation ignored, they take drastic action by holding three hostages at the Hertzberg-Davis Forensic Science Center. They issue an ultimatum to law enforcement: find Tilly within 24 hours or they will destroy evidence in several major cases.
Detective Charlie Hoskins, who barely survived five years undercover with the ruthless gang known as the Death Machines, has all his work stored in that lab. Determined to save his cases, Charlie decides to search for Tilly himself, even if it means teaming up with Lynette Lamb, the rookie officer who was fired for blowing his cover. The search for Tilly becomes a race against time, with lives hanging in the balance, including the Delaney’s, their hostages, Charlie, Lamb and the missing girl who vanished without a trace.
