Redemption Point

'There is no stopping Candice Fox . . . This is terrific crime writing with characters you'll be happy to read about again.' Herald Sun

When former police detective Ted Conkaffey is wrongly accused of abducting a teenage girl, he hopes the Queensland rainforest town of Crimson Lake will be the perfect place to disappear.

But nowhere is safe from the girl's devastated father. Dale Bingley has a brutal revenge plan all worked out – and if Ted doesn’t help find the real abductor, he’ll be its first casualty.

Meanwhile, on the beer-soaked floor of a roadside shack, two young bartenders lie dead. As the homicide investigation unravels, Ted and his unlikely ally Amanda Pharrell are brought in to assist on the case.

While Ted fights to clear his own name, their hunt for the killer draws them into a violent dance with evil.

Redemption is certainly on the cards – but it may well cost them their lives . . .

About the author

Candice Fox

Candice Fox is the author of twelve crime novels and the winner of three prestigious Ned Kelly Awards. In fact, she is the only author to have been shortlisted for that award for every single novel. She has also co-written seven New York Times bestsellers with James Patterson, the world’s bestselling thriller writer.

Candice's novels Crimson Lake and Redemption Point were adapted into a major ABC TV series called Troppo.

A meticulous researcher, Candice has interviewed a serial killer on Death Row, been to prison three times (for work purposes) and while on honeymoon in the US took a road trip to famous crime scenes looking for clues. She has also dined with a former President of the United States, filmed a cameo role in her latest screen adaptation and, as a volunteer for WIRES, has rescued countless wild animals.

She lives in Sydney.
