We are thrilled to announce that five Penguin Random House Australia titles have been shortlisted.
The shortlists for the 2018 Prime Minister's Literary Awards have today been announced by Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Minister for Communications and the Arts, Senator Mitch Fifield. The awards recognise Australia’s literary talent across six categories: fiction, non-fiction, Australian history, young adult literature, children’s literature and poetry.

Fiction
- First Person by Richard Flanagan
- A Long Way From Home by Peter Carey
Non-fiction
- Unbreakable by Jelena Dokic and Jessica Halloran
- Asia’s Reckoning: The Struggle for Global Dominance by Richard McGregor
Australian history
- John Curtain’s War Volume 1: The coming war in the Pacific, and reinventing Australia by John Edwards
The winners will be announced later this year.
