Wild Dark Shore wins ABA Adult Fiction Book of the Year 2026

Charlotte McConaghy’s Wild Dark Shore has been named the ABA BookData Adult Fiction Book of the Year 2026, as voted by booksellers across Australia.

The ABA 2026 Book of the Year Awards celebrate the books that have captured the hearts of Australian booksellers. These are the stories championed in bookshops and shared with readers across the country. The awards recognise books that have made a genuine impact, connecting authors and readers through the hands of booksellers.
