About the authors

Susie Burrell

As one of Australia’s leading dietitians, Susie Burrell is known for her extensive knowledge of food, eating behaviour and weight control. Holding Honours degrees in both Nutrition & Dietetics and in Psychology, plus a Master’s of Coaching Psychology, Susie specialises in weight control for women during perimenopause and fuelling for top executive performance. Susie is one half of Australia’s number one nutrition podcast, The Nutrition Couch. Over her career, Susie has worked as a paediatric dietitian at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, as a sports dietitian with several elite sporting teams including the Parramatta Eels, St George Illawarra Dragons and Sydney University Sport, and for 12 years was the resident dietitian with Channel 7’s Sunrise. As mum to twin boys, Gus and Harry, Susie is kept busy retrieving their rugby and soccer balls and building Lego houses.

Leanne Ward

Globally recognised dietitian and nutritionist Leanne Ward has over a decade of experience in the nutrition industry. With a background in clinical dietetics, she brings specialist expertise in the areas of fat loss for women, emotional and non-hungry eating, hormone health and digestive health. As The Fitness Dietitian, Leanne has over 700,000 followers online and runs two multinational businesses, the Lean Gut Mind Method Coaching Program and the Leanne Ward Nutrition Virtual Clinic, to help people access experienced and accredited dietitians from anywhere in the world. As the other half of The Nutrition Couch and host of her own Leanne Ward Nutrition podcast, Leanne’s shows boast a combined total of over 7 million downloads. She is also a busy mum to two young girls, Mia and Matilda, and loves her daily coffee habit, regular gym sessions and exploring new places when she can.
