Tender baked apples, a crunchy oat topping and a hit of cinnamon – these Apple Crumble Bowls make a delightfully healthy treat.

Ingredients
- 2 small green apples, peeled, cored, chopped
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Crumble:
- ½ cup (50 g) rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon wholemeal flour
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons natural almonds, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon softened unsalted butter
To serve:
- 320 g low-fat high-protein yoghurt (plain or vanilla flavoured)
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Place apples in a medium bowl. Drizzle over the lemon juice and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the apples and cinnamon and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until apples are just softened. Set aside.
- To make the crumble, combine the oats, flour, sugar, almonds and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add the butter and rub into flour mixture using fingertips until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Lightly spray two ½ cup (125 ml) capacity ovenproof ramekins with olive oil. Divide apple mixture between ramekins and top with crumble mixture. Bake for 20 minutes or until topping is golden.
- Serve crumbles with the yoghurt.
