A look inside of Fiona McIntosh's tour for her new book, The Orphans.
Ever wondered what it looks like when a bestselling author goes on tour?
Well, wonder no more – we’re pulling back the curtain to give you a glimpse into Fiona McIntosh’s current tour for her new book, The Orphans.

As you might imagine, book tours can be busy! For this particular tour, Fiona has hit the stage in cities across Tasmania, Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales. Yet to come, she’ll also be stopping in South Australia, Western Australia, and ACT.
It’s the first time Fiona has done a national tour since 2018, but the occasion seems fitting, as The Orphans is her first book set entirely in Australia. Needless to say, Fiona was so excited to finally be on the road talking about her books again – and her readers felt the same. Her events in Launceston, Geelong, Noosa, and Port Adelaide all sold out. On top of that, her upcoming event in Canberra has moved to a bigger venue due to demand.

The audience at Fiona’s events so far has been amazing. Looking out into the crowd, Fiona can see a sea of green, in keeping with her request to dress in shades of green to match the book’s cover. Fiona is feeling lit up by all the positive feedback from her events so far and will be carrying that momentum into the second leg of her tour.
Of course, none of this would be possible without all of the event organisers, booksellers, and attendees. Thank you to everyone who has made it possible!
