Praise for What Zola Did on Tuesday

Such simple but sweet and wholesome stories which will engage your youngest independent readers and very likely inspire their own community-mindedness, empathy and desire to help others. Highly recommended for little readers from around 6 years upwards! This is an absolute must-have and I for one look forward to the rest of the ‘week’ to come.

Mischievous Aussie kid Zola, her cousin Alessandro and the family dogs return in the second book in Looking for Alibrandi author Melina Marchetta’s bright new series for reluctant readers. The storyline is simple but busy as inquisitive, fun-loving Zola tests the patience of her much-loved Nonna Rosa and explores her multicultural neighbourhood, finding new friends and a new skill — knitting. This is a change of pace for Marchetta, driven by a passion to get kids reading from an early age.
