When Oprah Winfrey speaks, millions listen. So we’re thrilled that her latest Oprah’s Book Club picks are Isabel Wilkerson’s searing critique of inequality, Caste; and James McBride’s hilarious and profound examination of community, race and religion, Deacon King Kong. And we were doubly thrilled to see Oprah’s comments on Caste: ‘It explains why we are where we are in terms of racial injustice and inequality, and it shows us how to rebuild a world in which all are truly equal and free… Of all the books I’ve chosen for book club[s] over the decades, there isn’t another that is more essential.’ You can take that as gospel.

Here’s a collection of our books that have received the official nod of approval from the one and only Oprah Gale Winfrey. If they're good enough for Oprah's Book Club, they're probably good enough for yours.
