Get a free Penguin Books figurine this Love Your Bookshop Day

Find out how to get a free Penguin Figurine to celebrate Love Your Bookshop Day on 12 October 2024.

Get ready book lovers! Penguin Books Australia is celebrating Love Your Bookshop Day 2024 with a free figurine of the iconic Penguin!

Love Your Bookshop Day, an initiative by BookPeople, is a day to celebrate our local bookshops and the integral role they play in our community. From personalised book recommendations to hosting a wide range of literary events, our local bookshops make an incredible impact on every reader’s book collection.

To make this year’s celebration even more special, Penguin Books Australia is introducing the Personal Penguin.

The Personal Penguin is a miniature, penguin figurine that will be available exclusively on Love Your Bookshop Day with the purchase of any two Penguin books from participating stores.

The Personal Penguin is the ultimate bookish item and the perfect addition to every reader’s bookshelf!

Robbie Egan, CEO of BookPeople, says 'Love Your Bookshop Day has come a long way since its inception 13 years ago, and it's great to see publishers show their support for our local bookshops.

'Penguin Books Australia’s Penguin logo is synonymous with quality in publishing, and their Love Your Bookshop Day giveaway for this year is a wonderful campaign that speaks to the quality of our outstanding member bookshops.

'I can’t wait to see readers all around the country share their Personal Penguins on social media!'

Lexie Eatock from Better Read than Dead Bookstore in Newtown says 'It's so great to see publishers thinking outside the box when it comes to merch. The Personal Penguin is a memorable collector’s item… I want one for myself!'

The figurines are in limited supply so make sure to get to your local participating bookshop as the doors open on 12 October!
