There is only one guideline for Random Romance’s digital-first list – the stories must be indulgently romantic. But ‘romance’ means many things to many people. That’s why there are nine different shades of Random Romance, as indicated by the coloured bands on the covers. Here’s an easy guide to what each one means and to what you can expect.
Pink
Your classic romantic comedy. Random Romance’s pink tales will have you falling in love, time and time again, and are full of fun and adventure. Read our rom-coms if you like Helen Fielding’s Bridget Jones’s Diary, Marian Keyes’ This Charming Man and Sophie Kinsella’s The Undomestic Goddess.
Blue

Violet
Swoon-worthy historical romance with everything to get your heart pumping, from rakish Dukes in Regency ballrooms, to swashbuckling pirate scoundrels on the high seas. Orange
Deeply romantic drama. These books tackle the big issues, are full of the twists and turns we face in life, and showcase the way love can bring us all together. Pick one up if you loved The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman or The Maxwell Sisters by Loretta Hill.
Green
Paranormal romance. Random Romance’s green books are where you’ll find bewitching shapeshifters, vampires, ghosts, werewolves and zombies. Aqua

Purple
