Acknowledgement of Country now in local titles and audiobooks

The new addition is an important opportunity to show respect for Traditional Owners.

We strongly support and respect the Traditional Custodians of the land and will now include the Acknowledgement of Country in all our local titles and audiobooks.

Acknowledgment of Country is an important opportunity to show respect for Traditional Owners and continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country.

We have worked with Two Point Co., a 100 per cent Indigenous-owned consultancy, to develop the agreed statement:

We at Penguin Random House Australia acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are the Traditional Custodians and the first storytellers of the lands on which we live and work. We honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' continuous connection to Country, waters, skies and communities. We celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, traditions and living cultures; and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.

The Acknowledgement of Country is an exciting new addition to future audiobooks and local adults and children's titles.
