The Power of Positive Pranking

The outrageous story of three best friends, one greedy mayor and a whole lot of pranking.

Green Peas is our name and pranking’s our game!
A symphony of alarm clocks at assembly? Yep, that was us. A stampede of fluffy guinea pigs? It’s next on our agenda.
But for me, Cookie and Zeke, it’s about more than just fun. We’re determined to make a difference. And when the adults won’t listen, us kids will find a way to be heard – as long as we can stay out of detention!
No activist is too small, no prank too big... and things are about to get personal.

The Power of Positive Pranking will soon be a favourite of middle school readers looking for a fun, thought provoking novel with a lot of heart. Don’t forget the ‘Green Peas Rule 25: Always try to be a better person. But in the end, be the best you can’.

Rachael Hind, Magpies

This is a great story about having a go, being determined to make a difference, persistence, family relationships, friendships, acceptance, grief, and of course pranking!

Sam, Lamont Books

Nat takes issues that might seem complex – politics, the environment, activism – and makes them easy to understand, accessible and of course, fun and humorous.

Ashleigh Meikle, The Book Muse

The Power of Positive Pranking encourages children to see that they can make a difference in climate change and environmental issues.

Kathryn Beilby, ReadPlus

This book has everything that I want the kids in my school to read. It focuses on serious causes and demanding change in any way you can (but without hurting anyone, “big impact, no casualties” is how they describe it in the book), enact change by finding out what works for you and running with it.

Sarah Custance, Story Links

This story about pranking for positive people-power will give you the giggles, all while feeling empowered to start your own social movement.
