Nigel Slater is the author of Real Fast Food (1992) Real Fast Puddings (1993)The 30-Minute Cook (1994)Real Good Food (1995)Real Cooking (1997), and Nigel Slater's Real Food (1998).

Real Fast Food was shortlisted for the André Simon Award, The 30-Minute Cook (1994) was nominated for both the Glenfiddich and Julia Child awards. In 1995 he won the Glenfiddich Trophy and the Cookery Writer of Year award. He is Food Correspondent for the Observer and writes monthly columns for Sainsbury's MagazineGQ and Harpers and Queen.
