Alice-Miranda On Holiday

Alice-Miranda 2

The ever so exciting sequel to Alice-Miranda at School

Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennington-Jones has survived her first term at Winchesterfield-Downsfordvale. And now Jacinta Headlington-Bear, the school’s second best tantrum thrower, is joining Alice-Miranda’s family for term break.

Who would have thought it! The two girls are looking forward to a relaxing holiday at Highton Hall. But a cranky boy is causing mischief on the estate, a movie star has come to visit, and a stranger is snooping about.

Add a naughty pony, a hint of romance and a dastardly scheme, and Jacinta and Alice-Miranda might have a more exciting holiday than they were expecting.

About the Author

Jacqueline Harvey

Jacqueline Harvey worked in schools for many years but has had a passion for storytelling since she was a child.

She is the author of the popular Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose series, which have sold over one million copies in Australia alone. Her books have received numerous short-listings and awards while her picture book, The Sound of the Sea, was a CBCA Honour Book.

Jacqueline speaks to thousands of young people at schools and festivals around the world, and says the characters in her books are often made up of the best bits of children she’s met over the years. While she is not a twin, like Kensy and Max she does have excellent powers of observation and has always thought she’d make a great spy.

Jacqueline lives in Sydney and is currently working on more Kensy and Max, Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose adventures.

Praise for Alice-Miranda On Holiday

“Ever since reading the first Alice-Miranda book, I've been dying to read the second book. Finally, here it is, and I love it. Alice-Miranda has finished her first term at boarding school and is going home for a holiday. It's supposed to be relaxing but it's not because there are so many visitors and stacks of mysteries to solve, such as who kidnapped Aunt Gee? Now I want the third book.”

Matilda Murrihy (11 years), Herald Sun

“Alice-Miranda on Holiday is a gorgeous tale of friendship and mystery, with plenty of twists and turns along the way.”
