Fun, festivities and fireworks!

Fun, festivities and fireworks!

Alice-Miranda and her friends are on a school exchange in China! There's so much to see and do, and plenty of new people to meet. Among the whirlwind of sights is a breathtaking circus show, a hair-raising feat and an encounter with a family of acrobats.

While some are having a great time, others haven't quite landed on their feet. Throw in clashing personalities and the theft of a priceless antiquity, and sparks are set to fly. There may be more than just fireworks in store for Alice-Miranda and her friends . . .

Reviews

From hilarious antics, like smuggling goldfish through airport security, to odd adult behaviour (losing a metallic platform trainer in the loo, anyone?), Alice-Miranda in China is highly entertaining and hard to put down. And the fantastic names throughout the story — Ambrosia Headlington Bear, Professor Winterbottom, Ophelia Grimm, etc. — are sure to bring a smile to readers.

Stephanie Ward, Reading Time, Children's Book Council of Australia

As with all of the other books in the series, this title is an engrossing read and Alice-Miranda, the girl who is everyone's best friend, is as endearing as ever. Independent female readers from year 3 and above will ensure that this title is never on the library shelf.
