They say you never forget your first love. But what if you do?
Evie Hudson should be grieving her dead husband, but since the car crash that claimed his life, she can’t remember him at all. The only person who can help her piece her past together is her high-school best friend, Drew Kennedy.
When snippets of her memory start falling into place, she wonders exactly how she ended up in a life that couldn’t be further from the one she dreamed of. This time around, she’s seeing all the things she missed . . . and the picture isn’t pretty.

Praise for Pictures of You

When Evie wakes up following a car accident, she's convinced she's a sixteen year-old girl. The doctor’s explain that she’s in fact 29, was married to Oliver—the man killed in the accident—and that she’s suffering from amnesia. Without anyone she remembers around her, Evie flees from the funeral and lands in the car of an old friend, Drew. The plot moves between current events and flashbacks from Evie’s teen years. With Drew’s help, Evie reconnects with her parents and best friend Bree, but after years of neglect, there’s much to mend in those relationships. Australians Best and English share the dual narrative. Both are fine readers who voice the supporting characters with care. Best is especially good at letting the young Evie sound so full of life and tenderness; English is excellent at portraying Drew’s aching heart as he’s hurt again and again by Evie’s actions (masterminded by Oliver). As the complex story unfolds, listeners begin to understand how Evie, Drew, and Bree were all manipulated and damaged by Oliver. As memories return, Evie must face again and again the painful results of her inability to escape Oliver’s powers. The road back to friendship and trust is rugged, but the journey, in the hands of these talented readers, is well worth the ride.
