About the authors

Ellen Oh

Ellen Oh is an award-winning author and editor of middle-grade and young adult novels, including Haru, Zombie Dog Hero; Finding Junie Kim; The Dragon Egg Princess; the Spirit Hunters trilogy; The Colliding Worlds of Mina Lee and its sequel Jin Young, In Between. She has also edited and contributed to On the Block: Stories of Immigrant Families, You Are Here: Connecting Flights and Flying Lessons & Other Stories. She is a founding member of We Need Diverse Books and a recipient of the ALAN Award and the Konigsberg Award. Ellen lives in Rockville, Maryland, with her husband, three human children, and two dog children.

Matt de la Pena

Matt de la Peña is the Newbery Medal–winning author of Last Stop on Market Street. He is also the author of the award-winning picture books Carmela Full of Wishes, Love, and A Nation’s Hope: The Story of Boxing Legend Joe Louis, and seven critically acclaimed young adult novels.
