About the author

Matthew R. Sanders

Dr Matthew Sanders is a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Director of the Parenting and Family Support Centre at The University of Queensland. He conducts research in the areas of parenting, family psychology and the prevention of behavioural and emotional problems in children. He is the founder of the internationally recognised Triple P-Positive Parenting Program, which has won a National Violence Prevention Award from the Commonwealth Heads of Government in Australia. He has received an International Collaborative Prevention Research Award, is a fellow of the Australian Psychological Society and the Academy of Experimental Criminology. He is married with two adult children.
