Jacques Futrelle
Book for an event
Jacques Futrelle was bom in Pike County, Georgia in 1875; he worked as a theatrical manager and journalist, and wrote fiction on the side. He penned more than 48 "Thinking Machine" stories before his death on the Titanic in April of 1912 (ironically one of the last he wrote was titled "The Tragedy of the Life Boat"). He also wrote several romance novels.
