Your guide to Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series

Here’s what you need to know about Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series – including which order to read the books!

The Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown follows Harvard professor and symbologist, Robert Langdon as he bounds across the world from one thrilling escapade to the next.

While the series starts with Angels And Demons, it was the second book, The Da Vinci Code, that became a global phenomenon.

Originally published in 2003, by 2009 The Da Vinci Code sold over 80 million copies worldwide, skyrocketing Dan Brown to literary fame and introducing his name to readers across continents and genres.

About Dan Brown

To provide context to the Robert Langdon series, it’s helpful to know a little bit about the author.

Before becoming an author, Dan Brown was an English and creative writing teacher at Phillips Exeter Academy – where he himself had attended as a student. When a student’s email resulted in an investigation by the US Secret Service, Brown developed an interest in intelligence agencies, setting the foundation for his first novel, Digital Fortress. ‘Cantering on clandestine organisations and code breaking, the novel became a model for Brown’s later works,’ says Brittanica.

Today, Brown’s novels are published in 56 languages around the world, including his latest release, The Secret of Secrets.
