Join historical drama author Alli Sinclair as she talks about her new novel A Woman’s Voice.
Meet acclaimed author Alli Sinclair at Elanora Library as she shares her latest novel and the extraordinary history that inspired it. Alli is known for uncovering little-known events through the eyes of women who defied expectations, alongside her work as a film and TV producer, screenwriter, and director of the annual Writers at Sea retreat.
Her new novel A Womans Voice follows Laura Hartley, a violin virtuoso whose career shatters when her instrument is stolen and her gift of seeing music in colour fades. Seeking refuge in the Australian outback, she uncovers a forgotten symphony born from the voices of suffragettes – women who fought for freedom, destiny, and equality, even as the Titanic sank beneath them. As Laura traces their story, she must decide whether to remain in the shadows or step forward to fight for her own future.
