We are thrilled to invite you to a wonderful morning tea event in the Lovett Gallery, to hear from award-winning author and playwright, Mary-Anne O'Connor. The Stowaway is an epic tale of romantic adventure, love and courage and is inspired by true events. Mary-Anne will share how discovering the truth of her family’s legendary tale; that her great grandfather was found sitting atop a trunk with his son in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean after they were discovered (and jettisoned) as stowaways, was blended into research about a famous Danish explorer to create this epic, windswept adventure. Discover the inspiration, the research and the passion behind her latest novel, enjoy the chance to ask questions, purchase a book and get it signed. A morning tea will be on offer from 10:30am, with the talk beginning at 11am.
