Be one of the first to experience an electrifying and genre-defying new voice in Australian fiction.
The Wheeler Centre’s Next Chapter scheme has seen a number of critically acclaimed works from its initial intake of writers – including Evelyn Araluen’s Dropbear and Adam Thompson’s Born Into This. In March, we’ll celebrate the release of fellow inaugural recipient Ennis Ćehić’s debut short fiction collection, Sadvertising.
Sadvertising is a surreal and satirical trip taking us to a place where creativity (sometimes) triumphs over commerce. Short, punchy and direct, Ćehić’s collection reflects the absurdity of the modern condition, through stories that grapple with love and loneliness, art and commerce, dreams and reality.
Join us to officially launch Sadvertising with Ćehić and special guests – including his publisher Justin Ractliffe and his Next Chapter mentor, Nam Le. Food and drinks will be available to purchase from the Queen Victoria Market.
