A joyful celebration of diversity, friendship and animal magnetism. Enjoy this wild and wonderful ride in which Phoenix proves that 'normal' is nothing more than a setting on a washing machine.

Truly a story like no other. It centres around an incredible animal-based road trip, and delves into so many beautiful, funny, heartfelt themes – late autism diagnosis, burnout, online community, self-advocacy, friendship, and carving out a life that works for you.
Kay Kerr, author of Love and Autism
I could go on all day about the many moments in this novel that moved and inspired me . . . The Wonderful Thing About Phoenix Rose is a vital conversation starter, and a great book club pick.

The Wonderful Thing about Phoenix Rose is the sweetest, most heart-warming novel I've read in a long time.
Goodreads
Josephine is proving to be the go-to voice for warm, funny and vibrant stories - and this novel about a woman who is tasked with driving a carload of eccentric animals from Tasmania to Brisbane is an escapist's dream.
Woman's Day
This book may well become a great conversation starter, and a popular book club pick, but ultimately it is a beautifully written story that celebrates difference. It is about the importance of camaraderie and friendship, happiness , adventure and learning how to stand out in a world that demands you fit in.
Weekend Australian
Cannot recommend this highly enough. It's almost up there with Lessons in Chemistry.

Josephine Moon's best yet.
Goodreads
I love how kind this novel is. It renewed some faith in humanity and taught me so much about a world that hums to itself so gorgeously alongside 'neurotypical' life (is there such a thing?). This book is a joy.
