The Prostate Cancer Book

Keynote/Publisher's cCmmentsThe definitive book on what is now the second most common cause of cancer deaths in men

The incidence of prostate cancer is expected to exceed that of lung cancer by 2010, and in the last twenty years death rates from this 'quiet' cancer have doubled. It is therefore a huge problem, but one that is given little research support and isn't really talked about by those men who suffer from the disease. Written by the UK's leading oncologist in this area, Professor Jonathan Waxman, The Prostate Cancer Book looks at the causes, symptoms and treatments of prostate cancer. From screening and diagnosis to radiation treatment and surgery, this book provides a comprehensive breakdown of all the steps involved for the sufferer and also their family. It includes the latest research developments and gives detailed information on the support systems available. There is also a valuable question and answer section and case histories are used throughout to illustrate how this disease affects men both physically and psychologically.
