About the authors

Arthur Baysting

Arthur Baysting was an award-winning screenwriter, children's television writer, a songwriter and an advocate for children's rights. He was from New Zealand and used to be a stand-up comedian.

Justine Clarke

Justine Clarke is one of Australia's most accomplished and admired performers: a best-selling children's singer; acclaimed film, television and stage actress with credits that include Play School, Julia, Tangle, Love My Way, Mad Max Beyond the Thunderdome, Japanese Story and Hedda Gabler.

Justine's live shows include sing-a-long favourites from her three ARIA nominated albums, I Like to Sing, Songs to Make You Smile and Pyjama Jam. She has also won the ARIA award for Best Children’s Album for A Little Day Out with Justine Clarke and The Justine Clark Show.

Tom Jellett

Tom Jellett is an Australian book and editorial illustrator based in Sydney. Some of his work includes the Sporty Kids and The Besties series written by Felice Arena, Grandpa's Big Adventure and Grandpa's Space Adventure written by Paul Newman, his picture books with Justine Clarke and Arthur Baysting, The Gobbledygook is Eating a Book and The Gobbledygook and the Scribbledynoodle, and his acclaimed picture books with Michael Wagner Why I Love Footy, Why I Love Summer and Dirt by Sea.
His work can also be seen in a number of magazines and newspapers.
