The Chronicles of Hernia

A glorious collection of some of the funniest - and most touching - anecdotes of a comedy legend

For forty years Barry Cryer has been the nation's best-loved and the industry's most popular comedy writer, the man to whom TV producers and top comics turn when they need a hilarious script, a few snappy one-liners or a shoulder to cry on in the pub.

A stalwart 'Clue' panelist as well as a hugely respected comedy writer, Barry Cryer's collection of anecdotes, The Chronicles of Hernia, gives the reader the chance to have a pint and discover Barry's laugh-out-loud stories first-hand. Whether it's reading about Tommy Cooper (described as 'Mount Rushmore on Legs') or getting the low-down on writing for Eric Morecambe this side-splittingly jolly collection should bring a smile to the most jaded of faces.
