About the authors

Tom Jellett

Tom Jellett is an Australian book and editorial illustrator based in Sydney. Some of his work includes the Sporty Kids and The Besties series written by Felice Arena, Grandpa's Big Adventure and Grandpa's Space Adventure written by Paul Newman, his picture books with Justine Clarke and Arthur Baysting, The Gobbledygook is Eating a Book and The Gobbledygook and the Scribbledynoodle, and his acclaimed picture books with Michael Wagner Why I Love Footy, Why I Love Summer and Dirt by Sea.
His work can also be seen in a number of magazines and newspapers.

Linsay Knight

Linsay has written a number of non-fiction titles including two volumes of The Dictionary of Performing Arts (with two other writers)and Volcanoes and Under the Sea. She has edited various story collections, including 30 Australian Stories for Children, 30 Australian Ghost Stories for Children and Stories for 6,7,8 & 9 year olds.

In her spare time, Linsay enjoys playing the viola (she was the Principal Viola of the St Andrews Chamber Orchestra) and playing with her grandson, Ziggy.
