Michelle O'Connell, ReadPlus

This book was AMAZING because it was super intriguing and adventurous, and it left me with a big grin on my face!

Scarlett, Press Gang News

A fun, whimsical book that will appeal to kids who enjoy fantasy and humour plots . . . Shower Land 1 will appeal to fans of the Funny Kid series and Anh Do.

Charlotte Callander, Books+Publishing

An exciting visual world for readers seven years and older – full of action, laughter, and plenty of heart . . . At every turn, Shower Land keeps the pace moving and the laughs coming while sensitively exploring themes of sibling dynamics, cultural difference, and ableism. And Amoore’s craftsmanship shines on every page, with a lot packed into this beautifully-told story despite the word-count restraints of a junior fiction novel.

Helen Gearing, StoryLinks

This is a fast-paced series, with appealing, humorous illustrations and formatting to support the newly independent reader, that uses the portal trope to transport both the hero and the reader out of the everyday into worlds where anything can live and anything can happen – just the kind of escapism that is needed at times.
