About the author

Chung Min Lee and Yoichi Funabashi

Chung Min Lee is a Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Senior Adviser at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. He served as South Korea’s Ambassador for International Security Affairs and Ambassador for National Security Affairs. Yoichi Funabashi is an award-winning Japanese journalist and author. He has served as a correspondent for the Asahi Shimbun in Beijing and Washington, as US General Bureau Chief, and later as Editor-in-Chief. He is currently Chairman of the Global Council at the International House of Japan.
