About the author

Fatimah Omran

Fatimah Omran was born and raised in Sydney to Lebanese migrant parents. Her love of cooking took root in her childhood, where food wasn’t just about nourishment, but also an expression of culture, identity and love. This passion was reignited in 2006 when Fatimah was diagnosed with cancer, and she became devoted to prioritising whole, healthy foods for herself and her family. The Middle Eastern and Mediterranean diet that defined her upbringing became the foundation of her approach to cooking, and soon she was back in the kitchen with her mum, learning to recreate the traditional dishes she had grown up with to share with her children. Today, Fatimah can be found on multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
