About the author

Fatimah Omran

Born and raised in South Sydney to Lebanese migrant parents, Fatimah's passion for cooking took root in her childhood. This passion for cooking reignited in 2006 when Fatimah was diagnosed with cancer; she became devoted to prioritising whole, healthy foods for herself and her family. The Middle Eastern and Mediterranean diet that defined her upbringing became the foundation of her approach to cooking, and soon she was back in the kitchen with her Mum, learning to recreate the dishes she had grown up with to share with her children. Today, Fatimah can be found on multiple platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, where she was shortlisted as Food Creator of the Year in 2024.
