This is Jack and the Beanstalk like you’ve never seen it before!
An exciting action-packed graphic adventure story set in the world of Jack in the Beanstalk. From award-winning author Sofie Laguna and monster-illustrator extraordinaire, Marc McBride.

Twelve-year old Gemma loves to draw. Her latest passion is illustrating the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, rendering in heart-stopping detail the terrifying giant, Blunderbore. Then, on a trip to stay with her Aunt Lucy, Gemma’s drawing is ripped in a lightning strike. When she hears strange calls for help coming from the beach, Gemma sets off to investigate and discovers that somehow her art has become reality. Jack and Blunderbore are in her world. And Blunderbore has kidnapped Jack.
It's up to Gemma to help him. Can she survive the terrors of Blunderbore’s castle, rescue those imprisoned there and work out how to restore the natural order between the two worlds?

Praise for Blunderbore

A StoryLinks starred review indicating a book of exceptional literary and artistic merit. This is an enriched fairy tale for older readers, a de-luxe version with all trimmings and embellishments that mind can devise . . . McBride cleverly uses black and white line to create contrasts of light and shade, to show immensities of scale, and meticulous detail . . . While it is a fantasy adventure full of tension and excitement it is also a story of courage and friendship, love and family, resilience and independence, about standing up to giants and rescuing the downtrodden . . . detailed atmospheric artwork, emotional range and controlled storytelling.
