Sinead O'Connor

Sinead Marie Bernadette O'Connor was born in Dublin in 1966. Her debut solo album, The Lion and the Cobra, was released in 1987 and has gone on to sell over 2.5 million copies. Her second album, I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got, featured the number one hit single 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and went to number one in nine countries, selling over 7 million copies. Since then she has released nine albums, most recently 2007's Theology, and has collaborated with artists like Shane MacGowan, U2, Massive Attack and Ian Brown. Her first and only autobiography will be published in October 2009.
