Lara Porter

Lara Porter is a South African-born children's book illustrator based in Sydney, Australia. After a decade-long career as a designer and art director at advertising agencies across Cape Town, Bristol, and Sydney, she returned to university to complete a BA Honours Degree in Illustration in the UK. During the pandemic, Lara pivoted from editorial illustration to her true passion . . . children's picture books. She loves creating playful, colourful digital illustrations with a traditional and textural feel. Lara's work has earned numerous illustration awards and she has illustrated three published picture books.
