Kierin Meehan

Kierin Meehan started writing in an old, windswept town on Hokkaido's west coast, when she was asked to write a monthly column (Kierin's Esashi Diary) for the town magazine. Her first novel was Hannah's Winter, published in 2001. Her second, Night Singing, won the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children's Literature in the 2004 NSW Premier's Awards.Kierin lives in Brisbane, Queensland.
