Velveteen & Mandala
Jiro Matsumoto is the next in a generation of Japanese comic artists with western sensibilities. Following in the footsteps of Hiroaki Samura and Tsutomu Nihei he combines his unique art style and Japanese character driven story-telling to western themes. In his first English language work he takes on the zombie apocalypse theme and gives it a Tokyo twist, by having two teenage girls defend the Tokyo suburbs.
