Jessica Scalise is a writer and filmmaker. She graduated from Stanford and received an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California. She is a recipient of the Jacob K. Javits Fellowship in the Arts. She lives in Maitland, Florida on the grounds of a former orange grove. Orange on a Stoop is her first novel.
