JEFFERY ROBINSON, JD, is a graduate of Harvard Law School with more than four decades of experience working on criminal and racial justice issues. A renowned criminal defense attorney, Robinson was an original member of the John Adams Project, where he represented one of five men charged with carrying out the 9/11 attacks. In 2015, Robinson joined the national ACLU as director of the Trone Center for Justice and Equality. His sought-after lectures on the history of anti-Black racism in the U.S. formed the basis of the 2021 award-winning film Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America. Following the film’s release, Robinson left the ACLU to launch The Who We Are Project, a nonprofit organization focused on correcting the narrative of our shared history.
