James Irvine Robertson

Book for an event

Born in Stirling in 1945, James Irvine Robertson worked in newspaper management in Scotland, Canada and South Africa before joining a London advertising agency. In 1971 he put advertising behind him and became a pig breeder and farmer in Wales and Devon. He returned to Scotland in 1991 to live within ten miles of estate of Kynachan. He has published a number of books including Any Fool Can be a Pig Farmer and Any Fool Can be a Dairy Farmer and now writes and broadcasts regularly on farming matters and on the history of Highland Perthshire.

A direct descendent of the Stewarts of Kynachan, James Irvine Robertson inherited the family papers, the earliest of which date back to 1495.
