Hermione Eyre

Hermione Eyre is a writer and journalist whose critically acclaimed first novel, Viper Wine, was published by Jonathan Cape in 2014 and was nominated for the Folio Prize and shortlisted for the Walter Scott Prize. After reading English at Hertford College Oxford, she spent seven years as staff writer on the Independent on Sunday. She has written widely as an interviewer, for The Times, Vogue and the Telegraph, as well as collaborating with satirist Willie Donaldson on his last book in 2005. She is currently art critic for the Spectator magazine.
