Giorgio Scerbanenco

Book for an event

Giorgio Scerbanenco (1911-1969) was born in Kiev, in what was then the Russian Empire. At an early age, his family immigrated to Rome and then he moved to Milan when he was 16 years old. He began writing romance novels before turning his attention to crime, pioneering a uniquely Italian perspective and style. Many of his works were subsequently adapted for film. He is best known for his Milan Quartet, featuring struck-off doctor-turned-detective Duca Lamberti.
