David McLeod, writer of the fast-paced thriller Christ Clone, about the cloning of Jesus and the abduction of a girl called Mary, was born in Swindon. Having qualified as an electronics engineer, McLeod moved into sales and management positions, before travelling widely through Europe and the United States and finally settling in New Zealand. An avid reader and movie watcher of the crime and thriller genre, his other interests include motorsport and soccer. He lives in Auckland with his partner and son, where he continues to write.
