Buzz Baum
Book for an event
Buzz Baum leads a team studying the cell biology of archaea and the origins of complex cells at the MRC-Laboratory of Molecular Cell Biology in Cambridge, one of the birthplaces of modern molecular biology and the UK’s flagship research centre for fundamental biomedical research.
His work has encompassed a rare breadth of biology. He is one of the most eminent and highly cited cell biologists in the UK and Europe, and is most famous for putting forward a new model that revised the way we understand the evolution of complex cells – now included in many of the most widely read cell biology textbooks.
