The Gift of Kindness: Inspiring True Stories of Rescued Farm Animals

Inspiring true stories of rescued farm animals.

Inspiring true stories of rescued farm animals.

Some stories change your life, some events change your life, but a single act of kindness can save a life.

Meet Ruby the working dog who got a second chance and found her perfect job, and Macho the orphaned alpaca who found happiness among his sheepy friends. Then there's Edgar Alan Pig, Ginger the chirping chicken, Lucky Bunny, Othello the goat, Coco the lamb, Miss Marple the cow . . . and many more. These heartwarming stories provide a glimpse into a world where the smallest kindness can have a great ripple effect, and where animals bring out the best in people.

All royalties from the sale of this book go to Edgar's Mission where over 250 farm animals receive lifelong love and care.

About the author

Pam Ahern

Pam Ahern is the founder and director of Edgar's Mission, a not-for-profit sanctuary that provides a safe haven over 250 rescued animals. She gave up her day job and a successful equestrian career to dedicate her life to the protection of farmed animals. Pam was a Victorian finalist in the Australian of the Year Awards, Local Hero section, for her work as an animal rights activist.

Edgar's Mission was established on 60 peaceable acres near Kilmore, Victoria. In ten years, thousands of farmed animals have been given a second chance at life after having made their way through the farm gates.
