Join us for our Reading & Writing Day Camp! Come along and meet two different authors in a day full of creative writing, story generating, a silent reading party and bookish games! Our Reading & Writing Day Camps feature two different authors - you can book into either of their sessions as a family or individual, or children can book into the Day Camp - to join us for the whole day, meet both authors and play bookish games in between their workshops!

10am - Stories for the Kid Next Door with Emma Holland

Join Emma Holland as she chats Stories for the Kid Next Door and being an author! PLUS, don't miss your opportunity to write a funny short story with the master of funny stories!

About the author:

Quirky, refreshing and quick-witted, Emma Holland is one of Australia's most original young talents. A comedian, collage artist and photographer, Emma's multi-hyphenated profile continues to rise. She is a regular panellist on the award-winning comedy shows Have You Been Paying Attention?, Thank God You’re Here, 7Days and has hosted multiple episodes of The Cheap Seats. Emma is also a regular writer on The Cheap Seats, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Taskmaster S5 as well as awards shows The AACTA’s and The Logies.

Join author Bethany Loveridge for writing activities based on her newest book, Josie Mack and the MEGA Division.

About the author:

Bethany Loveridge is a passionate educator and children’s author-illustrator who has always loved storytelling and the natural world. Her past jobs include youth worker, film, TV and visual art teacher, curriculum specialist and museum nerd (not the official title). Bethany writes for children of all ages. She is the state director of the Queensland branch of SCBWI Australia East and enjoys supporting Queensland's burgeoning children's literature community.

About the book:
