About

Following the very successful recent "Fresh Voices" event, come along and meet author Geoff Parkes.

His first book "When the Deep, Dark Bush Swallows You Whole" released in February 2025, is a haunting debut crime novel that transports the reader back to the 1980s and a small rural town in New Zealand.

Hear about his second great book "The First Law of the Bush", it's a scintillating new rural noir tale - New Zealand style...

Born and raised in rural New Zealand, Geoff Parkes now calls Melbourne home. For the last twelve years he’s written a weekly opinion column for "The Roar", Australia’s leading on-line sports website.

We are so happy that Kerryn is able to join us for this event!

Kerryn Mayne is an author, former wedding photographer and current police officer. When not at work attempting to solve crime, she is writing about it or preparing an endless stream of snacks for her four children. Kerryn lives in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne with her husband, children and a highly suspect lovebird. She is the author of two novels: Lenny Marks Gets Away with Murder and Joy Moody Is Out Of Time.
