You're invited to the launch of Oh Brother!
Join local Adelaide author Georgina Chadderton for a celebratory evening of fun, snacks, and (most importantly) comics!
Oh Brother (release date 10 Feb) is the debut graphic novel memoir by Georgina Chadderton. It is about her experiences growing up in Adelaide with a sibling who is autistic and has an intellectual disability. It's also about being an awkward, sweaty, young teen. It's targeted at middle-grade readers (8-12 years) but will appeal to anyone interested in an honest, heartfelt insight into what it's like to grow up as the sibling of someone with high support needs.
The night will include an Artist in Conversation discussion between Georgina and Papercuts Comics Festival director Owen Heitmann, followed by a Q&A. There will also be special behind-the-scenes work on display for those of you curious to learn more about the 10 year process that went into making this graphic novel. There will, of course, be plenty of time for signings, chats, snacks and drinks.
The excellent folks at Dymocks Adelaide will be onsite during the event for you to buy your very own copy of the book.
