This workshop will explore techniques for crafting multi-dimensional characters and examine plot structures; including the Fichtean Curve, Three and Five Act Structure, Hero’s Journey and Save the Cat. Delving deep into what makes a satisfying plot twist, handling hooks and story questions, scene objectives, character motivation, compelling antagonists, chapter endings, tension, and crucibles. Participants will discover when selecting the perfect structure, it can draw out a character and their story, hold tension and build to a strong and satisfying ending. Please bring along a notebook or laptop to work on.
